How to create Virtual Hard Disk (VHD)

Note-(This is for only for fun, this will not increase your PCs storage. The data you store in VHD will store in .vhd file as per your location you have chosen.) 

Virtual Hard Disk (VHD)

1.) First go to Disk Management by taking your mouse cursor to the corner of Windows Logo (Start).

2.) Hit Right click and click on Disk Management and Left click on it.

3.) After it opens go to Action (on top) and Create VHD.

4.) Chose a location where the .vhd file will store and save it.

5.) Set your VHD size according to you and for larger then 2040 GB chose VHDX.

6.) Set VHD type  ( I recommend chose Dynamically Expand)

.)In Fixed the size of VHD you have created will take that space vhere you have saved your .vhd file.

.)In Dynamically Expand as you store data in VHD the size of .vhd file will start increasing.

7.) As i got new disk which is Disk 1 and Right click on it and click on New Simple Volume.

8.) Follow the Wizard by hitting Next and at last Finish and you will see new Disk in This PC.

And to remove it go to Disk Management right click on Left side where Disk 1 is written and click Detach VHD Delete .vhd FIle from the location which you have chose while creating it.
